New Heaven Dive School and Resort

Five stars. An absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. I completed my Open Water certification with New Heaven Dive School and Resort in Koh Tao and could not have asked for a better place to learn to dive. The entire experience was outstanding. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made the training both very thorough and incredibly fun, and I always felt safe and confident in the water. The dive sites around Koh Tao were beautiful, and the team at New Heaven did a fantastic job organizing everything so the days flowed smoothly. Every dive felt like a new adventure, and the instructors made sure we really understood the skills rather than just rushing through the certification. I also stayed in the on-site rooms connected with the dive school, which made everything so convenient. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and perfectly located right by the water. Being able to wake up, walk a few steps, and head out diving made the whole experience feel effortless. The staff were welcoming, professional, and created a great community atmosphere. By the end of the course it felt like diving with friends. If you are considering getting your Open Water certification in Koh Tao, I genuinely cannot recommend New Heaven Dive School enough. It was an unforgettable experience and easily one of the highlights of my time in Thailand. I would come back in a heartbeat to dive with them again.

I joined New Heaven from December to February and had an amazing time. I did my Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver courses, stayed in the hotel, and joined the Conservation Program as an intern – and I would 100% recommend it to anyone, no matter their age or background. The lessons are very well structured with theory in the morning, practical dives in the afternoon, and debriefings to answer all questions. The activities are super diverse and fun: cleanups, artificial reef work, net removal, Drupella collection, monitoring, learning knots, identifying corals and their health, and much more – every day is different and you learn so much. From the instructors to the receptionists and housekeeping staff, everyone makes you feel part of the New Heaven family. There are shared dinners, quizzes, and activities, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The program leaders are passionate, knowledgeable, and very caring. Real reef conservation, not just tourism. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic half day fun diving with Godert at New Heaven. As newly qualified open water divers we did two dives at Southwest pinnacle and Shark Island and saw amazing shoals of fish and a blue spotted ray! The centre at New Heaven had a really lovely, relaxed atmosphere and everyone was super friendly and professional. They offer conservation courses too which is great. Godert was a fab instructor, very calm and knowledgeable and really reassured me when I started to feel sea sick. Very good at what he does! Would recommend New Heaven to anyone looking for a good dive base in the south of Koh Tao.
