Snorkelling only review. We visited in late November. Had been a bit worried about being snorkel-only at a dive resort, but worries weren’t needed. They sent a separate snorkel guide, which made it once a private tour and the other time two of us with one guide. The guides were great at pointing out interesting things, and even helped take some photos (my camera). It generally felt like they were enjoying themselves and excited to find neat creatures, on one night snorkel we might have spent an enthusiastic amount of time trying to properly light and photograph an eel.

Joyful, professional, and skilled ✅🤿 Travel time: 21.12.2025 – 28.12.2025 I can only review the snorkelling tours, the equipment, staff, and professionalism, as no diving was conducted during our stay. A big, big, big thank you to diving instructor and manager Benny, office worker Nur, dive and snorkelling guide Aldy, dive guide and outstanding artist (briefing drawings) Daniel, our wonderful snorkelling guide Mantek, and all captains and boat crew for organising everything and helping us make the best out of our stay. Benny listened to all our wishes and tried to create the best possible schedule for us. Not once did he say no beforehand or seem stressed; he always stayed calm and organised everything as well as possible — and everything indeed was excellent! Mantek was our snorkelling guide on three snorkelling days, and he was outstanding, spotting things we would never have seen ourselves. If you’re not a diver, you can join the divers’ boat daily, which is perfect. All the spots where they dove, we snorkelled. During our trip to Manta Point I (Makassar Reef), we saw a total of 20+ mantas, including a group of 7–12 swimming and “dancing” together. The current was strong there, so you need to be a confident swimmer and in good condition if you want to follow them continuously. On other snorkelling trips, we saw individual mantas using the cleaning stations at the reef. We were able to watch and swim with them for more than 10 minutes without any current. Only once did we have to “share” the water and a manta with two other snorkellers, which was no problem at all. We were surprised by the lack of people — we visited during low season, but the weather and sea conditions were excellent, with an abundance of mantas. The sea was very calm, and apart from one short rough ride back to the resort, everything was smooth and flawless. We used several boats for our snorkelling trips, mostly the larger wooden boat, which goes slower. However, we always arrived on time, and you can relax upstairs on the deck. At first, we thought all the other tourist boats would overtake us with their faster speedboats, but we never experienced crowded sites or hectic situations — there was almost no one around! Between trips, they served watermelon, cookies, and fresh water. Don’t forget your UV-protection sun shirt and leggings, as the sun is extremely strong! It was a joy and a pleasure to get to know such wonderful people. Listening to Benny’s stories about his experiences in the Komodo region was especially interesting. Thank you for everything, dear Neptune Scuba Diving!

The dive center is run without any emotion whatsoever. Normally, you're greeted warmly, there's a great vibe, and the dive center is genuinely interested in its guests. Not here. There are two ancient wooden boats that serve as dive boats. At the dive sites, you'll find plenty of nice, spacious boats. But these aren't Neptune Divers' boats. We didn't even get a dive briefing for our first dive. Unbelievable. Day dive trips (which are standard at every dive center in Labuan Bajo) are only available here if the manager wants them. Otherwise, you have to do two dives in the morning and one in the afternoon on the boring house reef. And that ends up being 800,000 more expensive in total. It was our worst dive center experience in years.
