We dived with Neptune in February 2025 as an experienced team of technical divers. I completed 6 dive days / 12 dives, while my friends did 8 days on the days I had to work. We were a fixed team of 3 tec divers, with Patrick as dive lead throughout. Our configuration was sidemount, with Nitrox 50%-65% for deco, and all dives involved full, deep penetrations - engine rooms, deep cargo holds, propeller shafts, under the hull: exactly the kind of diving tec/overhead divers hope for. Preparation: Email communication months in advance was excellent. Patrick immediately understood what kind of diving we wanted and ensured everything was prepared before arrival. Support for sidemount, deco gases, and exploration-style diving was there from the start, nothing felt improvised, and the staff consistently helped with gear and setup. Logistics and operations: Based in Coron Town, we usually arrived between 7–8 a.m., rigged gear, analyzed deco gases, and were transferred to the harbor. Heavy gear handling was never an issue. For most of the trip it felt like having a private boat; later two other tec divers joined, but it still felt very personal. Lunch between dives was excellent every day (multiple dishes, drinks, coffee, water). For the north trips, we used a van transfer and a different but equally comfortable boat. Overall, the operation was smooth, well planned, and reliable throughout. Safety, planning, support: Patrick’s tec briefings were outstanding. Staff support with heavy gear and stages - including handing stages into the water - was excellent. Patrick guided us through all the deep penetrations we wanted, introduced new and more advanced routes, and navigated everything calmly and precisely. The dives: Over the trip I dived Kyokuzan Maru (including two north trips), the Hayabusa plane, Irako, Akitsushima, Okikawa, and Kogyo Maru. What made the trip special was that Neptune gave us exactly the diving we wanted: real exploration-style tec diving, not just "seeing wrecks". The north trips were especially memorable. One day we dived the Hayabusa plane and then Kyokuzan Maru; on another we did two dives on the Kyokuzan. Hayabusa was a personal highlight - our little "mission" was to remove all equipment and take a photo in the pilot’s seat. The Kyokuzan stood out for its atmosphere, deep cargo holds, trucks, porcelain, and the strange white-cloud effect inside parts of the wreck. The Irako was probably the most impressive wreck overall, both historically and because Patrick showed us penetration routes completely new to me. Akitsushima was another standout, especially the crane and the engine-room out-of-visibility drills. The shallower wrecks added contrast: Okikawa had beautiful coral growth on top, while Kogyo Maru offered fish schools. Every wreck felt different and worthwhile. Patrick as dive lead: Patrick is a one-of-a-kind guide. He is not only a highly experienced tec guide and instructor, but also extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Coron wrecks. His briefings went far beyond standard site overviews - covering battle details, historical documents you won’t find online, and even ideas about still-undiscovered wrecks (I’m still waiting for your book, Patrick). Underwater, he gave us exactly the right balance of freedom and guidance: no micromanagement, calm navigation, and excellent route choices. He even shared a long-running dive-lead "game" where a small figure was hidden deep inside the Morazan - later found by one of our team in an almost unbelievable spot. On top of that, Patrick’s personal side made the trip even better: great humor, fun videos during dives, and long conversations after full dive days. Neptune truly felt like a second home. Final verdict: Neptune delivered exactly the tec support and style of diving we were looking for. I cannot recommend Neptune Dive Center - and especially Patrick as a lead - highly enough. When (not if) I go back to Coron, I will absolutely dive with Neptune and Patrick again.

This week we did the PADI open water course at Neptunes Dive Center, and it was amazing! The communication upfront with Patric was good, he responded quickly on our questions and made sure that we could fit this in between our other traveling plans. Jun was our dive instructor and he was perfect. From the start he made us feel comfortable and he is very open. He really wants to help you and really takes the time if you find something difficult. All and all, Neptunes dive center is a place with a good vibe and with professionals who have loads of experience and know what they’re doing. We would recommend them to anyone who wants to get their PADI or to do just a fun dive in Coron.

Outstanding diving experience in Coron – unforgettable WWII wreck dives Thanks to this dive center, we had the incredible opportunity to explore the legendary WWII shipwrecks of Coron. We didn’t just dive around the wrecks – we entered them, swam through history, and truly felt the atmosphere of these historic ships resting on the seabed. The dives were absolutely incredible: well-planned, safe, and perfectly guided. The team was professional and calm. Everything was organized at a very high level, from briefings to equipment and boat logistics. Communication with the team before the trip was easy, clear, and very friendly, which made planning smooth and stress-free. Most importantly, they fully adapted to all our wishes and diving preferences, making the experience personal and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience real WWII wreck diving in Coron – this is the place to do it.
