MyBase Diving MAURITIUS - Base Diving Centre

Five stars no doubt! Fantastic little dive centre, Bruno and the team made a magnificent job taking care of our family. Very friendly, open atmosphere and very flexible to our needs. We really got more than we asked for (probably more than we paid for) 😊, the whole experience was far beoynd our expectations. I am an Open Water rusty diver with more than ten years since my last dive and started with a refresher and directly going into the dive. Oldest daughter seventeen wanted to try diving and did the Discover Scuba Diving at the same time and rest of family was snorkeling from the boat, all arrenged together very naturally by the centre to fit our needs. (It turned we had the boat all to ourselves since no other divers was signed up so it became like a “private dive” for our family but that was never an issue for the centre!) It led to a second day where also the youngest ten year old daughter did the DSD, and yet nervous beforehand she was super confident thanks to the instructor Fabricio taking care of everything so perfectly. And always with a big SMILE on his face! An unforgettable moment for her and for the rest of the family - we are super happy. Highly recommended place. Their coffee after the dive was the cherry on the cake! Would come back if ever in Mauritius again!

Had a great time with MyBase! We did 2 dives with San, he was very professional, calm and had great english unlike other diving bases. The whole interaction was very friendly and with good vibes. After and between the dives we chilled with some hot coffee which felt like exactly what we needed. Highly recommend!

I can't say thank you enough to Sani and the whole MyBase Diving crews! Five of us got certified in Open Water all at once. What an achievement! We came as a group to attend a wedding and decided to do some diving during this wonderful time. This place was highly recommended by the new couple who were partially local and they got certified a few years ago, and continued diving with MyBase when in Mauritius throughout the years. Among the group, I was the one who was super terrified of diving (I was so anxious that I woke up from a diving nightmare during the training days.) I was ready to quit coz I was so scared. BUUUUT!! Look what I've achieved. This cannot happen if the MyBase team were being so patient and professional. They also made lots of jokes to relax. They helped me to find the best way to equalise my ears and gave me lots of confidence and tips on the way, and all the important skills to perform a dive, handle hiccups, emergencies. And at last, they showed us the beautiful and vast Indian Ocean and all sorts of wonderful creatures. The sea slugs still looks so alien to me! I also realised how important coral reefs are to sea creatures. (Before I just naively thought all fish are sort of evenly distributed and swimming freely across the water.) But reality is where there is no coral reef, it's almost as dead as desert on land. I can't recommend this place enough and definitely enjoyed the time and start enjoying diving and can't wait to dive again! Thank you!!
