Kayaking through the mangroves is highly recommended! We rented kayaks to go on our own and both me and my 8-year old son loved it. It was so peaceful and we saw many birds. The people running the Center Nautique are extremely friendly and helpful.
A wonderful experience and good value. Get there early in the day so you can have the best experience. The beach gets very busy. You can kayak into the mangrove forests and the reef beds. Very friendly & enthusiastic proprietor who also speaks some English (a bit or a rarity in Guadeloupe TBH).
Great communication: even though the guided tour we first tried to book was full, we were offered the next day. We would recommend the guided tour: available in French and English, little side visit of a palm tree island, and quite informative. Owner and guide were very friendly. Owner speaks German as well.
