I can't say enough about the experience we had with Maui Sports Adventures and the Schweitzer family. My husband and a group of friends spent time with Zane Schweitzer over 4 days last week. We started with learning to foil behind a boat! A new experience for all of us - Zane was an amazing instructor and made even our worst rides feel like wins. His enthusiasm and guidance were incredible - I recorded my husband's rides and we are still looking back and learning from Zane's instruction. Moving on to down-winding - We did 3 Maliko runs with Zane on our SUP boards. Zane has a synergy with the ocean that he shares with his clients. The enthusiasm was still there, but accompanied by a Zen like approach to teaching us about feeling the water and the currents. Everyone in our group enjoyed our time with Zane and learned a lot. Maui Sports Adventure is a family business - Zane's wife Kim did the shuttle for us one day and shared fun stories about her time in the ocean. Zane's Mom Shawneen was the scheduling genius and the force that kept everything moving - from booking our time with Zane, to making sure we were prepared and dealing with last minute requests and schedule changes. Thank you Shawneen! We look forward to our next visit to Maui and spending more time with the Schweitzer Family.
Incredible experience! Where else do you get private lessons with a pro athlete? Zane is extremely patient and always makes sure you are safe and are having a good experience. The Schweitzers were so welcoming and made us feel as if we were part of the family. The bungalow was super comfortable with great views. This is not your normal Maui Tourist experience. This is the real deal. You will live like a local and they recommend the best places to see and where to eat. We will 100% be back.
