Master Scuba Dive Resort

I tried diving for the first time with Master Scuba, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. We did a few fun dives and completed the open water course, so we spent a lot of time at the centre. What makes it such a special place is the team, who are so welcoming, easy-going and great people to spend time with. Our main instructor, Evan, did a brilliant job of making us feel comfortable in the water, and explained everything with perfect clarity. The other instructors and dive masters that we had were amazing too. Additionally, the dive centre is locally owned and employs Indonesian staff, who all speak excellent English. If you’re interested in diving around the Gili islands, this is the place to be.

The only local dive center on Gili Air, which also happens to be the friendliest dive center we came across! The entire team are incredibly friendly and welcoming! We ended up doing 5 fun dives and even arranged to get dropped off at Gili Meno after our last dive which saved us time and money on a ferry. Each dive site was incredibly unique and teaming with wild life, so we would definitely recommend trying multiple different locations to get a good feel for the area. We seen several species of turtles, reef sharks, several octopus, giant cuttle fish, sting rays and were even lucky enough to spot the rare frog fish on our last dive! Even though this is a Padi Dive Center, one of the guides has SSI Certification and can certify and log all your dives for you, which was really important for us trying to meet minium requirements for other dives we want to do. Absolutely unforgettable experience! 🌊🐠🐢 I honestly can’t thank the team enough for how amazing our experience was. We literally checked out every dive shop on the island, but the warmth and vibe we felt here made the decision super easy we just knew this was the one. We were total beginners (barely knew more than floating!) and I was super nervous. But the instructors were so patient they gave us plenty of time in the pool to get comfortable with the water and master the basics. On the dive day, I felt a bit uneasy after 30 minutes and had to surface, but Zull was incredibly understanding and helped me relax. We went again for the second dive and this time he didn’t leave my hand for even a second. And wow — we saw clownfish, mesmerizing corals, and even a turtle at the end! My god, what an experience! I’m 100% coming back for my Open Water Certification. What I loved most they keep it super personal, with just 2 divers per instructor, so you really learn the right way. We stayed at the resort for 5 days and by the end, it genuinely felt like family. We even did snorkeling, and they lent us the gear with no fuss. If you’re thinking about diving in Gili, stop searching this is the place to go! I💙
