Marina Village Dive Resort

Seriously disappointed with the shower. If you can call it that. Barely a trickle and no guest soap. As we were travelling, we had none, after a long day, it was a pretty dismal experience. Beds are a taste of authentic Philippines. Rock hard and very noisy. Pretty bad smell in the room, but probably not point trying to change it. Staff was friendly. Thought of staying longer, but very happy that I only booked one day. Not pleasant. No sleep with the noisy fan and the bright light outside the window. Made a new friend with a huge spider though..😂

Stayed for 2 days, 1 night (Saturday–Sunday booking). We arrived around 11 AM and were allowed to check in, but they didn’t give us the room keys since their policy states check-in is at 2 PM, which we completely understood. The housekeepers instructed us to return at 2 PM to collect the keys. We went around Moalboal to pass the time, had lunch, and returned at 2:30 PM. When we asked for our room and keys, we were shocked to find out that our room had been given to other guests. Naturally, we were disappointed. The housekeepers simply told us to complain at the office, saying, “It’s not our fault, ma’am.” Their office was a walking distance away, and because they run three businesses under one office, we had to go back and forth. Even the front desk staff didn’t know what happened. We ended up waiting while they tried to fix their own internal issues. Hygiene was another concern. Although they insisted the room was clean, when one of my friends went to use the toilet, there was urine on the floor and on the toilet bowl. When I asked for someone to clean it, one staff member literally avoided me as if he couldn’t hear me. On top of that, the room had almost no working sockets. Charging our devices was nearly impossible. One outlet didn’t work at all, and another was so deep into the wall that it was unusable. We came here to relax and enjoy our vacation, but the experience was honestly rubbish. Rude staff, poor communication, unclean facilities, and zero accountability. 0/5 stars. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I booked this hotel as I was diving with a dive shop located next door. There are two portions to this hotel. Seaside and a garden side. The garden side is on the opposite side of the road and this is where I stayed. They have breakfast on-site which was very good. The room itself is comfortable. There are no frills, but the bed was comfortable and the AC was cold except it was little loud. The shower always had hot water but the pressure was low. Fresh towels and water were provided daily. It was a perfect stay for my needs.
