Marin Plongée Martinique has a great staff! Caro and Mathieu are wonderful. It was my first dive and I was nervous. She gave me great instructions and made my first dive awesome. They took our pictures and showed us all of the wonderful …

Diving spot was great, price was good! BUT Our instructor, I believe it’s also the owner, was not very friendly. When we shared our concerns about the weather, we received quite a harsh message that we don’t know the Caribbean weather. We booked three dives however felt like a number. As foreign, non-French speaker we did not feel comfortable or welcome since no instructor was talking English once there were French speaker around. Our instructor did not introduce himself, nor the diving area. Once we were on the boat we asked where we are going and received a very short answer “over there”. No information what so ever. The gear was ok. The photos that were taking were not very good quality and it was just a few pictures for 3 dives. Quite disappointing after reading these good reviews online. Again, the spot was great! Very beautiful corrals and plenty of fish.

Went for 2 dives with 3 friends. One was doing a DSD, and he was taken care of perfectly by the younger instructor. The dives in itself are alright, there is still fish and even quite a lot of soft coral. All hard coral we saw was dead unfortunately. Nonetheless we enjoyed the dives. During the dives, they took some pictures and shared them with us afterwards, for free. This is a very nice gesture, and I'm sure it's good for business too! I must say the owner was not very friendly, and did not even bother to ask our names... He just called us by our diving certificate... The dive briefing was 25 seconds long, just covering basics with regards to dive safet, but nothing about the type of dive or what we could see or expect to look for. Following this he mocked the fact that I had my own gear and that I took my torch and stick to indicate macro (again, I did not know what to look for due to the bad briefing). Adding to this, I was told in the beginning to at least bring a wetsuit because it's the law in France, and they follow French laws. Good, no problem for me. But I am sure that dive tanks need to be inspected every X years according to French law. the fact that all their steel tanks had between 10 and 60% of external rust shows that they were certainly not recently inspected.
