I had an amazing experience with Maori Dive Academy, especially under the guidance of Coach Dave. He’s an incredibly patient and supportive instructor who took the time to ensure I was confident and comfortable throughout the Advanced Open Water course. Even when I faced some challenges, Dave’s calm guidance and encouragement helped me push through and successfully complete the certification. Overall, it was a very positive experience. They are professional, safe, and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend Maori Dive Academy and Coach Dave to anyone looking to take their diving skills to the next level!

My friends and I were taught by A-Miao and Lao-Mai. They were excellent instructors that put us at ease and made sure we could grasp the skills necessary to ensure our safety. They focused a lot on our diving skills which is exactly what we need as beginner divers, to lay a good foundation for us to continuing diving in the future. With regards to the schedule, I feel that the amount of time set aside resting is too much for me. We went for dives in the morning and the rest of the day would be empty and if I didn’t have my books/laptop with me, I would be really bored. I would prefer diving both morning and afternoon on the weekends to complete the course in 3d2n, rather than spreading things out over 4d3n. I did see other people that are at the dive school for fun dives (more experienced divers), diving both in the morning and afternoon. However, this could be for safety reasons as we are all beginners so it’s hard to fault the dive school for that. Bonus as there are LOTS of cute cats around.

Young, energetic and friendly group of instructors who are patient and passionate about teaching diving. They took great care of me during my two dive trips here and let me experience different dive sites in Tioman. The facilities and accommodations are also clean and comfortable, with capsule-style rooms that are designed with sustainability in mind. I appreciate William’s and Wen’s guidance during my most recent dive. Had a lot of fun at the LRT and One Tree Bay dive sites! William also gave me more confidence in how to use my GoPro better underwater. Thank you!
