Just had an awesome dive here! Great communication before including consultations 2 to 3 weeks out with Stafford. We had three Divers and four snorkelers and he sent us out together and we were able to see each other while each doing our independent trip. Guillermo and Max were excellent guides and Roberto was a great pilot. Will come again!
Awesome staff, very professional and helpful. Max was my guide on my very first cenote dives and I was blown away. The sulfide cloud that formed at the halocline was absolutely stunning, it felt so otherworldly. If it was the only thing I did in Mexico then it would have been worth the trip. Highly recommended!
We chose Manta for my husband’s PADI open water tropical referral in Cancun. We saw great reviews and chose based on that, and I am SO glad we did. Manta is AMAZING. The quality of the instruction is top notch. Vicente and Danny were wonderful instructors and dive leaders. Everything felt really personalized; this is not a “cattle boat” operation, it feels quite bespoke, and the quality of the rental equipment is good. They were very responsive to changing weather conditions - our first day of diving got cancelled because the port was closed due to weather, and Manta worked with us to switch dates and times around to make sure my husband got his certification dives in, which meant a LOT to us as we had flown down specifically for this! My husband was very nervous for his training dives but Vicente helped him feel much more confident, and celebrated him when he was successful. Everyone at the shop, from the captain and first mate to the dive staff, are clearly excellent at their jobs and passionate about diving. It makes such a difference to dive with professionals who love what they do. And they’re even good at underwater photography and videography, too. I HIGHLY recommend Manta to anyone who wants to dive in Cancun, from brand-new divers doing a discovery dive to seasoned divers with years of experience. I plan to dive with Manta every time I’m in Cancun from now on.
