I had my very first scuba diving experience with Instructor Sandra in November 2025, and it was absolutely unforgettable! As a beginner, I was both excited and nervous, but Sandra made the entire experience feel safe, comfortable, and fun from start to finish. She explained everything clearly and patiently, making sure I understood the equipment and safety procedures before we even entered the water. Her calm and encouraging attitude really helped ease my nerves. Once we were underwater, she stayed close by, constantly checking in to make sure I was okay and enjoying myself. Thanks to Sandra’s professionalism and positive energy, I was able to relax and fully take in the beauty of the underwater world. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor for my first dive. I highly recommend Instructor Sandra to anyone considering scuba diving—especially first-timers. She made my first dive safe, smooth, and incredibly memorable! We decided to dive with Mango Dive because they are just nextdoor to our hotel. They offer discounts if you do multiple dives and since it is low season we had a DM for just the two of us. We asked about doing dives specifically for macro photography and our DM Adhet was amazing. He was very modest when we met him and downplayed his abilities to find small nudibranchs, but in reality, he is a great spotter. When diving, we go really slow to look for small critters and Adhet moved at our pace. He found so many things that we would not have noticed. He even found a pontoh's pygmy seahorse. We also saw white tip sharks, cuttlefish, several nudibranchs, stonefish, turtles, frog fish, ribbon eel, moray eels, lionfish, and several reef fish. The dives were so much better than we expected. We were very happy with our experience diving with Mango Dive starting from a warm reception when we inquired about diving until saying goodbye after our last dive. Their rental gear appears to be well maintained, boat crew is very helpful, the boat was very spacious for diving, and all the staff were friendly during our surface intervals. My wife and I came for an Introduction to Scuba Diving course as first time divers and we also opted to take a photographer along because we wanted to capture the memory. We had an excellent time here and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place! We were accompanied by Nini who was the intstructor and Sintah who was taking photos and they are both so nice! Nini was very attentive and patient, which was very much appreciated since we were first timers. She instructed in detail and also adjusted the experience to our levels. She is also such a nice person and fun and easy to talk to! She really made us both feel very comfortable with the experience. Sintah was also super pleasant and she went around us taking photos not just during the dive but also before when we were learning the basics. She also helped us spot fishes and was so friendly! The photos came out quite nice and we’re happy to have some snaps to share with family and friends. Thank you to the whole team for such a lovely experience!
