Communication with them before I even decided to dive with them was such a breeze. Very attentive with great information throughout :) I did a fun dive with them in Himmafushi and made really great friends. They offered to book and cover the ferry tickets in the bill with the dive which made my life so much easier. Also learned from the instructors about many other versatile dives to try next time I come back here. Would highly recommend MAD and their passionate instructors!

I did my IDC here and honestly had a really great experience. The dive sites are beautiful and varied, and you can tell they choose spots carefully depending on conditions and what the group needs. Every dive felt well planned and safe. The Course Directors strike a really good balance they’re approachable and have a good sense of humor, which definitely helps during a stressful course like the IDC. But when it’s time to work, they’re focused, structured, and clear in their feedback. They don’t just try to get you through the program, they actually push you to improve and understand what you’re doing. The Course Directors stayed up late with us everyday to study after class! And they are so funny too! What I appreciated most is that it’s a smaller center. You’re not just another student in a big operation. They pay attention to details equipment, logistics, individual feedback and they’re always available if you need advice, even about things that have nothing to do with diving. I’d definitely recommend this place whether you’re doing a professional course or just fun dives. It’s professional, well organized, and has a genuinely supportive atmosphere without feeling forced or over the top.

I completed my Open Water Diver certification with Maldivian Academy of Diving (MAD) and had an excellent experience. The course was very thorough and well-structured, and my instructor, Ye Lin, was incredibly patient and supportive throughout the training. The open water dives were absolutely beautiful, with great visibility and warm, comfortable water. I couldn’t have asked for a better place or team to start my diving journey.
