The instructor was very kind, and even though it was my first time diving, I was able to enjoy it without feeling nervous.

I use this service every time I dive on Okinawa's main island! The staff are very friendly and polite, so even first-time dives can enjoy themselves without any worries. I'm from outside the prefecture, and even though I have other plans for sightseeing, I'm very grateful that they are so kind and accommodating when I have questions about schedules and other matters.

Monday, March 16, 2020 While visiting Okinawa on my graduation trip, I requested Mahina to guide me through a diving experience. First of all, it was my first time diving. I'm a strong swimmer, so I wasn't particularly nervous. However, I was worried about panicking if something went wrong underwater. My impression of the diving experience was that it was a sunny day, the temperature was reasonably high, and the water was crystal clear, allowing me to fully enjoy Okinawa's beautiful ocean. Since this was just a dive, we did two 20-minute dives in the afternoon, with a break in between. Underwater, you can see vibrant fish, coral, and more right before your eyes. That day, I even saw two sea turtles and heard whales, making it a truly fulfilling dive! I was truly lucky. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing thorough instruction on diving from start to finish. Even when I had difficulty diving due to ear pain, they were there to help me adjust my pace and watch over me. Thanks to this, I was able to enjoy diving with peace of mind, even though it was my first time. They also prepared a sheet where I could write down whatever I wanted and take underwater photos to create a memorable graduation trip memory. It became a wonderful memory! One thing to note, and this is purely my personal opinion, but since it was my first time diving, my ears hurt a lot more than I expected. You may need to research ear clearing beforehand and be careful. Also, this time we traveled by boat for about 20 minutes to get to the diving point. I was fine, but some of the tourists on the same boat seemed to suffer from seasickness, so if you're worried about seasickness, be careful. Finally, even if it was only a short dive, it involves an unfamiliar environment, so I felt a bit tired afterward (although some people may find it quite tiring...). If you're considering diving for the first time on a trip, I recommend not packing your schedule too tightly and leaving yourself plenty of time before and after. I had a really fun experience this time of year. Depending on the weather, I felt like I could enjoy it even at this time of year. I was able to talk about various things with the staff and it was great to learn more about Okinawa. Thank you so much.
