LION DIVE RESORT

My partner and I are new to diving. We found lion diving while shopping around for open water courses. There are so many places to get your ticket is so hard to decide. But Lion Diving was an amazing price so we went for it. I did my open water and my partner did a discovery dive and snorkelling. Lion Lee was an amazing instructor. He has been operating here for something like 15+ years. He was very accommodating, my partner got to do her dive at the same place and time and also snorkeled while we drove. He was a very patient instructor in and out of the water. He made me feel very safe and comfortable the whole time as I figure out all the new skills. He has a great personality and kept things light and fun with a good sense of hunger. He is very generous and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We had lots of laughs and realy enjoyed our time there. His staff was great. My partner really felt safe with her diving guide Marwel(not sure the spelling). Last but not least his boat is one of the few if not the only boat with a toilet. It's a nice little perk. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Great value and location with friendly staff. Stayed 1week+ and had a very good time. Rested well and had fun with all the activities provided. Would come back again if I am in the area. Thanks!

Do not use this agency if you just walk in off the street. These people are trying to scam you. This is exactly what happened to us — a very bad and dishonest experience with the agency staff. We wanted to book a whale shark tour. The agency manager convinced us that it would be much cheaper to take a private tour instead: whale sharks + islands + waterfalls. He clearly said that the total price for two people would be 3500 PHP for everything, plus small entrance fees: 100 PHP per person for the islands, 100 PHP for two people for the waterfalls, and 200 PHP for the sharks. No other payments, he said. We agreed because the offer sounded great for a private tour. What actually happened: • 500 PHP was taken by the agency representative • 3000 PHP was paid to the driver • And then it turned out that everything else had to be paid separately Real additional prices: • Whale sharks: 1000 PHP per person + 200 PHP for two people + 600 PHP for video/photo • Islands: 1700 PHP for boat transfer + 200 PHP entrance fee + 300 PHP per person for snorkeling This was completely unexpected, very expensive, and extremely unpleasant. When we called the agency, they did absolutely nothing to help and literally said, “That’s life and misunderstanding, sorry.” This is despite the fact that during the sale they clearly promised that there would be no additional charges. We refused to continue the tour and went back home. I strongly do NOT recommend using this agency. This is a very dishonest business.
