LIKE SCUBA CENTER - SSI Freediving & Dive Center (Sabah)

Ronald is an amazing instructor and I couldn't recommend this training centre more. He is extremely patient, answered all my questions, adapts the training course and the materials to fit your own individual needs. I felt comfortable and it was a safe enough environment for me to make mistakes and learn from them. I did a lot of back and forth when picking a dive center and I couldn't be happier with my choice to go with like scuba. their course is purposely longer and the in-pool sessions + in person theory sessions really helped. I can't imagine doing all of this in just 2 days (as other centres advertise). Thanks so much to Ronald and his team! will definitely be back to do my advanced diver training here 😁

I was curious to try out freediving and stumbled across Like Scuba Center - and, I’m so glad I decided to do my SSI freediving course here 😊 Ronald is a fantastic instructor. He is incredibly meticulous and prioritises safety above all, equipping students with the proper knowledge and skills to ensure their safety and wellbeing. I learnt a lot during the off-water and pool training thanks to Ronald’s explanations and answering whatever questions I had. Then, during the island session, I learnt plenty too! Practicing the breathing techniques for the dive (relaxation-full breath-recovery), duck-dived, equalised. All of it wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t for Ronald’s constant calm and positive energy, constructive feedback, and supportive words throughout. The center provided excellent equipment too which made the experience even smoother. I definitely would like to come back again. Till then, thank you Like Scuba Center and see you soon 🌺

I have allot of good things to say about this dive centre and my instructor Micheal. From the beginning I was worried as I was switching from PADI to SSI for my rescue course, however they made the transfer seamless with constant support before I came to KK. On top of this they were able to accommodate my sister to do an OW course during my dates whilst keeping us on the same dive sites. I was unable to find this at any other dive centre. Additionally they were flexible around my schedule and moved a theory & pool lessons to 7pm making it easy to fit in our packed holiday schedule. I highly recommend this dive centre if you want a personalised dive experience that doesn’t feel commercial but rather a friend teaching you. Both Ronald and Micheal were excellent instructors, detailing each aspect of training clearly and slowly. This allowed me to truly grasp the info and ask plenty of questions. During our dives Micheal was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about marine life helping you find macro life that you wouldn’t normally see easily. He also ensured that my training dives still had some aspects of a leisure dive to look and explore the site. I have been to quite a few dive shops and like scuba really gave me one of the most personalised experience for my training. Truly grateful for their support and hard work!
