Leisure Divers

I took my PADI open water course here. It was a very good experience. The instructors took things slowly and had me repeat things that I was not performing well. They also gave me the option of redoing any skills or exercises that I was not confident in performing. I was hesitant and anxious about doing scuba diving but the divers here made the experience phenomenal for me. My only regret is not having enough time to do more dives. The practice dives were also very relaxed. A good introduction to the activity. There is a lot of coral and fish on the bottom. They give you the option of renting a camera for your dive which I would recommend. You never know what wonders you will see. We were able to see humphead parrot fish, sharks, pufferfish, the entire cast of Finding Nemo was there. During one of my training dives there was a Sea Turtle trapped in a wreck unable to move. The dive instructor was able free the turtle from its bonds of captivity. The divers also speak Bahasa Melayu, English, and Mandarin Chinese meaning that there is wide accessibility for anyone who wants to go diving. I highly recommend Leisure Divers and hope to visit the Perhentian Islands again and dive with them again.

I did my Open Water course with Leisure Divers and the experience was absolutely amazing. They are not only extremely professional and well-trained, but also genuinely kind and welcoming people. From the very beginning, they made me feel safe, supported, and at ease. I had an excellent experience with Leisure Divers at Perhentian Besar, who provided me with a refresher course after a 24-year hiatus from diving. A big shout out especially to Mr. Kiat for his kindness to reschedule the boat repairs, dive Master Jessie and her protégé, Sun who was very patient and supportive during my refresher course. Their customer service is outstanding, marked by a friendly and accommodating team. I highly recommend Leisure Divers for any diving course or diving activities at Perhentian Island, regardless of skill level.
