Lava Diving Center - diving in Madeira aquarium

Very unique and unforgettable opportunity for almost everyone. This was the first diving time for me and I learnt a lot about diving and the sealife. I recommend it because: -The instructor is a professional and very kind -You have time to practice the techniques -You can try this sport with no previous experience or certifications -The sharks won't bite off your legs :)

Amazing experience! I'm very uncomfortable with situations where I don't have full control (like being underwater and not being to breathe freely 😅), but the instructor was so amazing that the whole thing felt safe and allowed me to have this amazing experience. We got a short (and funny) intro about the local sea life and the aquarium itself. Then we also learned the basics of diving in the natural pools nearby followed by an unforgettable dive in the aquarium where we got to interact with some animals (only those that are ok with it, so as not to negatively affect them). We dove 1 on 1 with the instructor in the aquarium, so we had full attention. The instructor Abilio is very friendly, welcoming, funny and creates an atmosphere of trust. He will go as slowly as you need to and make you comfortable even if you're a first time diver (which I was). Can't thank him enough for his effort and attitude! Highly recommended! 10/10, would do it again in a heartbeat.
