Hey, I absolutely recommend him! I completed my Open Water Diver course as a private student with him in just three days. From the very first phone call during my first of two weeks on the island, I had a super friendly and relaxed start. Great course, well-structured, plenty of time for questions, and also enough time and enthusiasm for chatting about all sorts of things, basically the whole time during the breaks between dives. I was even offered tea and bananas. So I never felt like just another student there to make some money. We were in Playa Chica, an absolutely amazing underwater world, completely unexpected. I saw rays, big groupers, cuttlefish, trumpetfish, barracudas, an octopus, and hurray, an angel shark! Total peace and quiet and attentive service throughout the three days. My interest in diving has definitely been more than piqued!! I was also offered a fishing trip on a boat, which I unfortunately couldn't take. I went somewhere else later, but it wasn't nearly as friendly, I'd almost say. Mathias also rents out apartments; I had a van, but I imagine it would be ideal for a dedicated diving holiday. I took the exam while enjoying a complimentary coffee at the beach restaurant—it couldn't have been better, I think. It's almost a shame, because since I want to explore the other Canary Islands, I probably won't be coming back to Lanzarote for a while. But I would definitely recommend this place to my girlfriend, who's definitely getting a diving course from me, just like anyone else, for a course or dive. 👍👍👍 Great course, it more than enriched my visit to the island, thank you! 👍
