La Tienda de Mar

I found so many beautiful things here – from my absolutely beloved jewelry (Selfmademen ring) and decor made from ocean waste to professional snorkeling gear. At first, we rented the equipment and Mariela was incredibly kind and caring, always taking her time to make sure everything fit perfectly. The prices in the store are very fair overall. We ended up buying our favorite snorkeling masks and use them all the time. The tallow she sells in the shop is already empty in our house – so we’ll definitely be back soon to stock up again!

A great day diving in La Ventana! Mariela was friendly at the dive shop, made sure we had all of our supplies and in extra sizes if necessary. She was very knowledgeable of the area and dive sites! We got to see Sea Lions, octopus, eels, rays, and so many fish and even dolphins on the surface!! Such a fun day with Mariela, I would definitely so back!

Moving to paradise meant leaving behind about 50 houseplants in the US and it was harder than I thought. Finding this store and Mariela has been a real life saver for my soul! So many different plants and I keep coming back for more. She even helped me source rich potting soil. These are just SOME of the plants I’ve brought home from her. The store is a perfect fit here with plants for the locals and also snorkeling supplies, gifts, and novelties for everyone passing through. She even has lightly used gear for those on a budget!
