Kokay's Diving Shop, Malapascua

This is the best dive center at Malapascua, not only the rooms.. but diving, staff, hospitality also the food was amazing.. we really enjoyed and loved stay with them.. thank you so much madam Ritchell taking care of us while staying in your resort, babalik din kame.. salamat sa tanan!!🥰🥰🥰

We stayed with Kokays and dove with them in April 2025. Really friendly staff, generally 1 DM with 2-4 divers max. As the resort is by the beach, we took a small boat for a 5min trip to our diving boat. For thresher shark dive, boat ride is about 40min, departs at 6am (which is fairly late compared to other dive shops). 2 dives for thresher shark and 1 dive to see tiger shark. Back by 12:30-1pm. For Gato island dives, it’s 1hour by boat, leave at 8am. And they provide BBQ lunch on the boat, back by 2pm. Night dive, there’s 2 types. To see the Mandarin fish, it’s a sunset dive, we left at 5pm. For pure night dive we left at 5:45pm. Service - immaculate service and crew, they will help you with setup and provide hot towels after each dive which is amazing. The gear is new and well maintained. John our dive master is super patient, great at finding macro items even in the dark! Highly recommend to stay and dive with them to make your holiday pure relaxation.

Stayed 4 night, dove 3 days. They arranged transport from and to Cebu Airport, which made travel easy. Resort is attractive and restaurant staff is great. Food is okay. The dive operation was very good, they put me on plenty of threshers for 2 days. Bonus tiger shark first day. Food on the boats is excellent. Just understand there will be at least 15 other boats full of divers out with you. Gato Island is good diving too, good macro critters. Viz was bad the day I was there. Kokay’s is worth a visit and Malapascua is too.
