Kaya Divers

We had a wonderful experience. Gonzalo was amazing and had very astute observation. He helped me with my first dive and i was able to enjoy the dive a lot because of his confidence in his skills. He also was very observant and made suggestions and recommendations that i needed to take the plunge.

I went diving with Gonzalo in December and had the best time. We first went to the underwater statues where we saw some massive colourful fish, tangs, shrimps, urchins and some massive sea shells with stuff living in them. Then we went to the reef which was a few minutes away from the statues and it was beautiful, there were thousands of fish, of all kinds. I absolutely had the best time swimming around the reef and he showed me things that I would not have noticed myself like things in underwater caves that were hiding like massive beautiful fish. I would recommend getting a GoPro for the dive as the photographer was not good at all unfortunately but other than that the entire experience was amazing! If you were thinking of going diving then go with Gonzalo, you will have a great time!!

I had the pleasure of being a student of Gonzalo’s for scuba diving. He was a very good, very thorough instructor and got me to become very comfortable with learning to scuba dive. I am not certified and I have tried in the past to do a resort certification and then go out, but never could pass the resort training. But, Gonzalo was very patient and made me feel extremely comfortable learning from his style. And so, I was able to go out on two incredible dives where I saw so much marine life and even statues made long ago that I originally thought the ancient Mayans made. It was such an incredible experience!! 10/10 would definitely recommend!
