We had a great experience with Tetsu; he was a seasoned DM who was responsive and had comprehensive fish ID guides. It was our first time seeing sea kraits and triggerfishes so Tetsu made that a comfortable and wonderful experience. We loved the small group setting and we got to go to the kerama islands and some nearer islands - perfect visibility and hard corals with plenty of nudibranches for you to find. He also led us through some sweet swimthroughs. Cannot recommend enough!

Wonderful experience! Huge thank you to Tetsu for working around the lingering typhoon winds and our schedule to give us a perfect diving day! Incredibly helpful communication and kept us updated on sea conditions and potential concerns. He was also incredibly generous and kind to share the amazing photos he took during our dives, including a few of us. We will absolutely return, thank you again!

I had the best time diving with Honu Honu Divers! Tetsu is an exceptional instructor and an impeccable guide. I’m so glad I chose to complete my Advanced Open Water course with him. From the start, Tetsu was responsive, clear, and incredibly helpful—his quick and detailed replies to my emails gave me confidence even before I arrived. Before our dives, he sent out a thorough itinerary, which was both informative and reassuring, showing just how organized and thoughtful he is. During the dive days, Tetsu handled every detail—our gear, safety, and overall comfort—with professionalism and care. He’s not only a fantastic teacher but also warm, funny, and easy to connect with, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful surprise was that he took photos and videos during our dives and even created a lovely montage for me to remember the experience. On top of all that, Tetsu also gave some fantastic recommendations for places to eat around Okinawa, which made our trip even more special. Tetsu truly puts his heart into crafting a memorable and smooth dive experience. He goes above and beyond, and it really shows. You’ll be in amazing hands with Honu Honu Divers—I can’t recommend them enough!
