I used Golden Treasure for three of their tours during my stay in Dubai from 6th-8th October. I was on their Dubai City Tour on 7th October which included a visit to the Gold Souk, and Jumeirah beach. The tour included a stop at an arts facility where they handweave lovely carpets and other pieces. Up until this point which was near the end of the tour, our tour guide who's name was Fazal seemed friendly enough. However, this changed once we got to the this arts facility. There were fellow tour guests like myself who at that point were tired and wanted to stay in the tour vehicle and were not interested in this part of the tour. Fazal forcefully and in an annoyed fashioned said that they cannot stay in the vehicle despite being visibly tired. I have been on many tours but never had a guide forcefully insist that passengers have to get off the bus. It had appeared that between him and the arts staff members had vested interests as they were trying to sell us their wares on the tour. Some said no and Fazal and the staff members were insistent that they buy which was very uncomfortable. It was like Fazal would get a cut of any of any sales made to us tour members from the arts facility. Separately, Dubai Mall was a stop near the end of the tour in which again Fazal seemed very pushy for us tour guests to get off at this place and not return to our respective hotels and find our own way back. I had already planned a tour the following day to visit Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, so there was need for me to visit the mall twice in two days. Myself and my fellow guest were the only ones who stayed on vehicle bus and wanted to return as advertised back to our hotel which was Pullman Hotel in city centre. This seemed to anger both Fazal and Sajid that they now have to drop us back to our hotel, instead on finishing work early. As we got off the bus and because he was so pushy towards the end of the tour, we didn't get a chance to ask what the name of the arts center was at the time. We asked him this time as we got off the bus and he muttered words that were incoherent, and told me and my fellow guest that he was finished and we should go away and he gestured go away with his hands. Very unprofessional! It was very much apparent that he was annoyed he didn't finish early, and also he was only nice for the tour. Once he got his money as part of his job, the real person came out. It put an unnecessary negative on our trip as we were celebrating a birthday, and I for one would be hesitant to use Golden Treasure again especially if Fazal and Sajid were the respective guide and driver of any of the company's tours. People do not pay good money to be treated rudely and in a pushy manner. It was very polarizing to the respectful manner people were as a whole in Dubai.
