Gili Divers Hotel

Awesome location, especially if you want to dive. The hotel and restaurant staff were great! The rooms are quite small and all located around the pool which they do the dive training at. The call to prayer wakes you up in the morning, but that was to be expected. However there is constant noise from about 7am with staff talking right outside your room and clanking from gear getting ready. The WiFi works well in the room but the hot water only lasts about 2 mins. The dive masters I had, Selena and Jo, were great, really warm and accommodating. However, the general vibe at the hotel was quite stand off-ish. Wasn't a fan of how some of the other dive masters spoke with their students/customers.

The hotel, which seems to operate separately from the dive shop and the "connected" beach club is a simple but descent hotel. The facilities are functional and clean. The room is a bit small, but clean. There is no fridge in the room, but if needed, there is a communal refridgerator that can be used. The room does come with a little safe, water kettle, and complimentary coffee and water is offered, the latter can be refilled freely. No breakfast is offered on site. There are 2 small pools, they are mainly used for diving education and you can be asked to leave the pool at times. Overall, a descent place to stay and convenient if you decide to dive with Gili Divers.

Can’t speak for the “hotel” rooms as I only stayed in the dorm. The dorm room was dirty and poorly maintained. The bathroom had no hot water, no body soap and no hand soap. There were no towels provided. There was a giant spider half the size of my palm above the toilet, and lots of insect faeces on the toilet itself which really shows how often they clean it. Apart from the big spider, I counted a total of 6 small spiders in the shower area. Also the dorm is located right next to a Mosque which is not super convenient if you want to have an uninterrupted sleep throughout the night.
