My family of four had a spectacular day boating with Fun Baja to the sea lion colony at Los Islotes, north of Espiritu Santo Island. We had plenty of time swimming among the playful sea lions, followed by some wonderful snorkeling in the surrounding reefs. A relaxing ceviche lunch later, with swimming in a quiet cove of Espiritu Santo was included. Martín was a wonderful guide who loves what he does. Special thanks to reservation coordinator Ruby Vidales who made a special effort to connect us with another dive operator for a separate whale shark experience the previous day (Christmas Day), when Fun Baja was closed for the holiday. It was great to see that kind of cooperation between competitors. One caution: The boat trip along the outer seaward coast of Espiritu Santo was choppy -- exhilarating for some, rough for others. Take precautions against seasickness if you are prone to it. The return trip along the inner coast was much gentler.
Fun Baja was amazing! We went and swam with 6 different whale sharks and learned so much about them. Andre and Maru were so friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. This was a bucket list thing for me to do and couldn't have picked a better company to go through. Highly recommended
Fun Baja was a great host! Firstly, Fernanda is super nice, and communicated with us super well and timely. Really loved her. Then everyone was super communicative, we were the only 2 non-spanish speakers in the boat, so they made sure to always go through things in English for us too (which seems basic but I've had boat tours where that didn't happen). Also the lunch in the little sandy beach was great and very well prepared. Then Martin was a great snorkeling guide as well, telling us about the sea lions, and guiding us around. And lastly, the highlight: we got to see 🐠🦭🐢 🐬 !!
