💫 My First Diving Experience 🌊 — a heartfelt and honest reflection, capturing the awe and serenity of a first dive 💙🐠. One long-dreamed dream came true today: I had my very first diving experience 🐣 — and it was absolutely wonderful! I want to acknowledge David for delivering an engaging 15-minute introductory pitch that sparked my interest and motivated me to explore further. His enthusiasm and amenable personality made the experience both fun and enjoyable. Following, I had training 👍🏻👎🏻🤚🏻👌🏻👃🏻and the first sea-dive with Rai (Raiquen Bornand), a biologist from 🇦🇷, who took professional approach and care of us throughout the entire dive 💯. He explained everything clearly, stayed calm, and made sure we were safe. The experience itself was calm, beautiful, and unforgettable ❤️, in every way. I found myself smiling — even laughing 🙃😃— underwater! 🤗🤫🤭 Rai shared useful tricks, like how to empty your mask when some water gets in (I wish I had known that before 😉). I did have a short headache afterward (or maybe my head was spinning a bit from all the images and impressions 🤗🥰🤭). I found it difficult to keep my legs straight🥴😊😚 while ascending 😅, but Rai handled everything with patience 😊 and professionalism 🥇. I can’t recommend him enough — you’ll truly be in the safest and supportive hands 🙏🏻👌🏻🤜🏻. We also got to meet a few of the Caribbean’s most fascinating residents 🐠🐢🪸 at the reef — don't ask me about colors, shapes, size, names 🫶🏻. They calm you with their gaze as if they are touching you. I did several dives with Dressel Divers in Playa del Carmen in December 2025 and can’t recommend them enough. The shop is well run, offering up to three dives per day, weather permitting. Montse at the front desk is warm and remembers every client by name, instantly making you feel welcome. All the instructors—Julie, Cris, Alex, and David—are excellent, but diving with Rai, a biologist from Argentina, was truly special. His calm presence, genuine kindness, and deep respect for the ocean created an immediate sense of trust underwater. Rai is gentle and deeply committed to diver safety, while still making every dive feel magical. I did a wreck dive, two reef dives, and three bull shark dives with him, and every experience felt completely safe. The bull shark dives were unforgettable—the sharks came incredibly close, and the experience was awe-inspiring. These are memories I will cherish forever.
