I had an amazing experience with Dragon Dive Komodo. The Dive Master training was truly great, and I was lucky to be surrounded by such good people. The instructors Elise, Rocky, Sophie, Alex, and James were very professional, supportive, and patient throughout the whole program. They made learning process clear and motivating. During the training, we took things seriously and worked hard, but at the same time we had a lot of fun. We also shared some great nights out together, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable and helped us bond as a team. All the boat crew and staff were fantastic and very helpful. I learned so much and had an unforgettable time. I highly recommend Dragon Dive Komodo to anyone who wants to try scuba diving or take professional training. I’m very happy with my experience. As a professional diver, I have very high standards when it comes to safety and equipment care. Unfortunately, our experience with Dragon Dive Komodo was unacceptable on every level. My partner and I booked several fun dives with this center. We were taken diving on a boat that had been freshly painted the day before. Every single surface was still covered in oil paint. There was not one clean area on the boat. As a direct result, my personal equipment -BCD, wetsuit, and regulator, was stained with oil paint and effectively damaged. They destroyed my gear, as well as our clothes. The entire boat reeked of paint fumes, creating an unhealthy and completely unprofessional environment for diving operations. We had requested vegetarian meals in advance and were served chicken instead, a basic detail that was simply ignored. There was no proper dive briefing before entering the water. Skipping a dive briefing is a fundamental violation of basic diving safety standards. It shows a complete disregard for diver safety. They insist very strongly on nitric as well, and I agreed for the first dives. It was absolutely pointless as the max deep was 15m for the second dive I refused,and what happened? on a boat tank with nitrox where prepared for me. Then I asked my dive master what’s the pint to dive with nitrox on 15m…he wasn’t able to answer me. The most important is that every time I had to insist to check O2 level I nitrox tanks… it something what you have to do, check it and describe the tanks, but it’s not in Komodo Dragon standards…. Our divemaster appeared disengaged and uninterested in guiding or spotting marine life. The dives felt rushed and purely transactional just ticking boxes rather than delivering a professional diving experience. On top of that, divemasters and instructors were constantly smoking on the boat between dives, which further demonstrated a lack of professionalism. During the return trip, the sea became rough and scuba tanks were left completely unsecured, rolling violently from one side of the boat to the other as it tilted. No proper action was taken to secure them. Eventually, tanks even fell into the sea. This level of negligence is extremely dangerous and unacceptable in any serious dive operation. In my opinion, this dive center operates without proper procedures, safety standards, or respect for clients and their equipment. I strongly advise divers to avoid this dive center.

Amazing experience completing our Advanced Open water certification + Nitrox certification. Karen was an amazing instructor along with the dive master in training Tom who was super helpful and a great personality to have around. Thank you to all that made our experience unforgettable and a true adventure! If you are wanting to experience scuba or level up on your qualification I highly recommended you use these guys as you will have a seamless experience and the knowledge and skill set will be unparalleled to anywhere on the island.
