Dodanduwa Diving and Water Sports Club

Four of us did the Padi openwater diver course a couple of days ago. Roshan, the headcoach, and choahes Ashan and Malith were absolutely helpful and super friendly. They very kindly guided us slowly through the process. Day 1 - We learnt all the essentails within a pool. Day 2 - We revised all the lessons in shallow open water. Got to experience how to stay calm and together under the surge Day 3 - First deep openwater dive. Went down to 10m and saw amazing marine life. Day 4 - 2 more deep dives upto 18m. This schedule was discussed and revised by Roshan after talking with us. You are allowed to do this at your own pace. The price was a bargain compared to a lot of places, and their diving center is a beautiful cabana. They offered us to do a free beach camping and Roshan even took us snorkling. Learnt more from the coaches about the sea, more than I have ever heard in my entire lifetime. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete course due to a mini accident. Definitely coming back to complete and do more dives with these amazing people.

I had an amazing experience at Dodanduwa Diving Club while my daughter was completing her diving certification. Roshan and the other instructors were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the entire process. They made sure my daughter felt safe, comfortable, and confident every step of the way. A big thank you to the friendly neighbors and the staff at the fisheries harbor as well – their support and kindness made the whole experience even better. My girlfriend and I dove with Dodanduwa Diving some weeks ago. We still regard it as one of the highlights of our trip! The crew was really friendly and could sort out two days of diving on a whim. It lies a bit away from Hikkaduwa but that in turn offers a much more genuine experience. Thanks again for awesome dives!
