Diving with Jim - PADI Dive Center

I'm glad I chose 'Diving with Jim' for my first diving experience! They are a small local operator which offers wonderful service! The team were friendly and welcoming! Diving is always something that I wanted to try but I was scared. It was nerve wrecking for me and i was determined to try diving for my birthday. Thanks to the team for making me feel at ease. Shoutout to my diving instructor, Yosep! He was knowledgeable and patient guiding me throughout the diving process. He makes me feel safe and guided me to stay calm. Felt like a diver princess treatment because the team took care of everything! It was relaxing and I was mesmerized with all the fishes and USAT liberty ship wreck. We did 2 dives. Had a quick snack and tea after the first dive. Lunch was also provided which was really great because i was really hungry after the dive. The dive package also includes FREE GoPro videos! Couldn't emphasize enough how relaxing it was diving. Once again, many thanks to 'Diving with Jim' for the beautiful memorable diving experience throughout. Matur suksma. Diving with Jim is simply the best dive shop in all of Bali, not just Amed. We have dived extensively through out south east Asia and the service, communication, friendliness, professionalism, attention to detail and care is second to none. You come as a diver and leave as family. Jim is local Balinese and employs locals as well and I can not stress enough how important this is to support the community and put the small amount of money they make from diving back into the community. The rates are extremely reasonable and the service you receive is amazing -get picked up at your accommodation, pop over to his super cool dive shop to make sure you have everything you need (Diving With Jim has an extensive range of very well looked after and almost new rental gear) and then get driven to the dive sites that you collaborate in choosing with your guide based on the conditions and what you would like to see. I have photographed some fabulous macro subjects based on Jim and his guides expertise. Yosep and Leo are fantastic and fun guides and we love diving with them. When it's time to finish diving, you get driven back to the shop where Jim's gorgeous wife Ayu has prepared some of the most delicious Balinese food for lunch. I can not wait to have Ayu's mie goreng again! All in all you can not go wrong by choosing Diving With Jim for your Amed/Tulamben and even Nusa Penida diving adventures. The best there is, it's a fact.

This is one of my favorite dive shops of all time! I did my advanced open water with Yosep and two fun dives with Leo, and it was an all around wonderful experience. Yosep was a great instructor for AOW and gave me a lot of advice for how to improve my buoyancy. Both Yosep and Leo took incredible videos of our dives and gave them to me right afterwards. I felt very safe with both of them and the equipment was in good condition. For most of the dives, it was just me and the dive master, which made it even better. Amed may not be a famous dive spot in Indonesia, but it was one of my favorite diving experiences ever. Aside from the USAT Liberty wreck dive, all the other dive sites weren’t crowded at all. In my three days of diving, I saw white tip reef sharks, octopuses, sea turtles, sting rays, puffer fish, and lots of tropical fish. On top of everything, this is a locally owned business and it felt good to support local while in Amed. I would HIGHLY recommend Diving with Jim for diving in Amed!
