A while ago, I dove at this southern tip with my girlfriend. She came from the smaller neighboring country around the corner and was still serving her country in this region when this peninsula temporarily changed 'owners'. That's why she was a fantastic tour guide for me in this magnificently beautiful, dry, and rocky environment. A stark contrast to the underwater scene here. My diving certificate, issued on the Barrier Reef, immediately gave me access to this underwater quest. Our little planet has so much to offer, fantastically (yes, I mean, it truly surpasses my imagination, all that beauty). The question is whether the stream of visitors, like you, the reader, and I, can keep our hands off that beauty. I'd say, treat the coral as you treat fragile and beautiful, tiny and vulnerable human life. It's special underwater here, and the coral looked very impressive back then. I don't know if the reef has deteriorated significantly since then, given the enormous and increasing number of underwater sea explorers. Enjoy!
