Diving in Bali - Bali Diving Academy

We completed our Open Water certification with Tama at Bali Diving Academy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Over three days of theory, pool training, and open water dives, Tama was patient, professional, and incredibly supportive. He explained everything clearly and made sure we felt confident and comfortable at every stage. The highlight was swimming alongside manta rays and sea turtles — an unforgettable experience made even better by Tama’s calm and reassuring presence. Thanks to him, we not only got over the line and earned our certification, but we also fell in love with diving. Highly recommend Tama to anyone learning at Bali Diving Academy!

I had a fantastic experience diving with this school! The lady at the front desk was incredibly helpful — she organised my schedule perfectly and was always flexible and supportive with any logistics or questions I had. My instructor, I Komang A​di Jaya, was fun, attentive, and really professional, so I always felt safe and confident in the water and enjoyed my dives. Everything was well-run, professional, and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended! Thank you guys! 🙌

I did my PADI open water cert at the Bali Dive Academy in Sanur & it was the best time of my life!! Tama & Kenni were outstanding teachers! They were so knowledgeable and explained everything really well, always giving the opportunity to ask questions or if additional clarification was needed. I was a bit nervous going into it but everyone made me feel at ease and Tama and Kenni (and the boat captains) made me feel safe & looked after but also gave me confidence in my abilities and encouraged me immensely. Everyone was so professional and still fun. Everything was organised for me from pick up and drop off to my accomodation, lunch all 3 of the days and all equipment required! All I needed was my bathing suit, towels & water provided too! I was even able to hire a go pro from them to capture the most amazing memories. I had multiple conversations with the team over WhatsApp before arriving and during my time in Bali and they were very responsive! I couldn't recommend this centre more! On my 3rd day I chose the Nusa Penida dives and we saw so many Manta Rays, amazing fish, turtles, eels and more! Again I felt super safe even when things didn't go exactly to our dive plan and learnt so much! If you're looking for a fun place to learn to dive or a cool group of people to show you around great spots in Bali this is it!!
