Diving Center - Deep Blue Diving

The dive center is all-around excellent. The center itself is situated about 50 meters from the promenade parking lot (Rogoznica Zona 2, 6 HRK per hour at time of writing) that pretty much always has available spaces, simplifying arrival by car. It has plenty of space for preparing your equipment, as well as drying racks and if necessary it's possible to secure your belongings in the building during the dive. It also has a shaded rest area with refreshments provided pre- and post dive. The dives themselves are generally conducted via boat, a fairly typical dive RHIB. Since the boat does not have a tarp I'd recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat, but one of the amenities provided on the boat are water bottles. Additionally, surface intervals are usually waited out in picturesque bays, facilitating a bit of swimming or snorkeling to cool down. As for the dive sites, they are quite varied and include at least three different wrecks and a breathtaking wall. They are, however, mostly fairly deep and a dive computer is highly recommended. As for the aquatic fauna, it's fairly typical Croatian. During my dives I saw about a half - dozen octopi, along with a fair number of Moray and Congar eels, a flying gurnard and scorpion fish. Visibility was, with one exception, excellent. Most importantly, the owner and instructor Drazen combines a fun and welcoming personality (in person, if not in text) with competence, a noticeable concern for safety, and an uncanny ability to find interesting wildlife in the tiniest nook and cranny. In summary, I've had an excellent time and am looking forward to diving here again if I'm in the area.
