Sharing good memories (A picture is worth a thousand words).
My partner and I both had VERY negative experiences with this dive company, Red Sea Divers, for our 2 pre-scheduled dives. We booked for a considerable amount of money for diving in Ras Mohammed. When we arrived we were greeted with a boat that was filled with 30 other tourists most of whome were there for snorkelling and discovery dives. No one had pre informed us of the dive sites and the entire boat catered to the needs of the snorklers who were generally families of both younger and older children. As my partner and I were advanced divers we were immediately concerned and asked for the dive site names. It turned out both sites were very near the shore and none were near any of the popular dive sites in Ras Mohammed. We requested that they change the visited sites to accommodate us and although we met resistance he finally agreed to switch one dive. During equipment setup we discovered failed BCDs, leaking regulators and torn fins. The equipment was in incredibly poor shape but since we were already sailing we had to go with what we had. They did have spare equipment but we still had to dive with torn fins and finicky BCDs. Our first dive at Yolanda Reef went well but our instructor capped it at 45min and parts of the dive felt rushed. Our 2nd dive, which took place 4 hours after the first, was capped at 30min. We also had to complete the dive with a person completing a discovery dive so stayed above 15 meters. We immediately expressed that this was unacceptable as we had paid for 2 full dives. Both the captain and the divemaster said he wouldn’t dive for longer as they had already accomodated us for the first dive. The actual 30min dive was very subpar. There was no guiding done by the divemaster and he swam in a straight line. Very very rushed and of poor quality. When we contacted the manager to complain he kept insisting that they had accommodated us for the first dive which is why they had run out of time. He refused to return our money for the 2nd dive and was difficult to get in contact with. Incredibly poor management, diving and customer service. In summary: Very poor organisation both on the boat and shore; Equipment in very bad shape; capped our first dive to 45min; LIMITED OUR 2nd DIVE TO 30min.; manager refused to refund money. We have dived all around the world. This has been the worst dive company we have encountered. Skip it and give someone else your hard earned cash. Red Sea Divers is NOT FOR DIVERS!!
