DiverGems Diving Center

My fiancé and I had an fantastic experience with DiverGems 💕💎. We were in Malapascua for 10 days, and went out on dives for 8, and we were very well-taken care of by the DiverGems crew on every dive trip out. TLDR: 100000% will recommend diving with DiverGems 💯💯💯💯💯 Since it was about a year since our last dive, a refresher (for the less experienced and not-so-confident-underwater me) and check dive was a good and essential start. My refresher instructor Allan and my fiancé’s check dive guide Jed were very experienced, and were able to ease us back into making sure we knew our basics and got our safety foundations right. Allan then became our guide for most of our dives subsequently, and his familiarity with the various Malapascua dive sites made him a serious pro in finding all the great stuff for us to see, from the tiny macro stuff to the big marine animals - mandarin fish, frogfish, giant mantis shrimp, peacock mantis shrimps, Harley Quinn shrimp, zebra crab, porcelain crab, all sorts of other tiny shrimps and crabs, Pygmy seahorse, other “resident” seahorses, all sorts of nudiebranches from super tiny ones to big ones, thresher sharks, white tip sharks, octopus, cuttlefish, eels, etc etc etc (too many list, just check out their IG @divergemsdivingcenter #notsponsored). Our other guides throughout the trip were great too - Ronel and Neil - as well as the other guides from DiverGems - Jimmy, Jade, Avia - they always made us feel safe and well-looked after. Allan even noticed that my GoPro came unclipped and dropped when I was preparing to get on the boat, and he went after it and amazingly managed to retrieve it 😱 I didn’t even notice it until he asked if my GoPro dropped and I realised it was not with me, and he said he was gonna go get it back for me and he took off like in seconds. I got quite worried when he didn’t surface for many minutes and was definitely willing to forgo my GoPro as long as he made it back, but the other guides on the boat said he was probably taking awhile because he might be doing his safety stop (at this point I was like, “how far did my camera drop sia?!”). He did finally surface WITH my GoPro, prompting another diver on the boat to say “someone up there (pointing to the sky) must really like you” 🙏🏻🙏🏻 Not forgetting the crew on the boat who made sure we were well taken care of: ensuring our gear were properly prepped and set up before every dive, providing a fresh water warm shower after every dive, dry towels for everyone on the boat, tasty cooked meals and hot drinks always ready for us when we surfaced, and being helpful, attentive, and proactive in giving every diver on board a great experience. Last but not least, the amazing hospitality of Ning, who went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, helping us with the logistics and arranging and recommending accommodations that were of high quality and near the dive shop, making sure that our dive schedule was catered to what we wanted to see/do at a pace we were comfortable with despite having to juggle various requests from all the other divers as well during this high and busy season, taking great shots of the marine life (and us) underwater and very generously sharing all of them with us FOC, giving great recommendations of what to do/eat around the island that was not diving-related, and also for being a genuinely amazing human being 💕 THANK YOU DiverGems, if I could give you more than 5 stars, I would 💖💖💖💖💖

I had a beyond fantastic experience here. Ning made planning the trip so easy and offered tons of helpful information and making sure I got to the island with no hassle. The dives themselves were fantastic, and I saw a lot of Thresher sharks! The dive master Allen was so professional and had a super sharp eye that saw a lot of macro creatures like electric clams and nudibranchs. The food on the boat was unbelievably good, even better than what I get on the mainland. The staff are super helpful and it was an overall amazing experience at a competitive price!

Amazing time diving with DiverGems Diving Center! The whole experience was truly worthwhile. The staff were incredibly caring, attentive, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the dives. Everything was well organized, and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing. Highly recommended and much appreciated for a wonderful diving experience!
