I was a volunteer at the Whale Project Azores for 4 weeks and it was just wonderful. After so many years of whale research, the team is still passionate about it. The focus as an volunteer was whale watching and getting more knowledge. And learning how to support international databases with Foto ID. It was the perfect combination for me. The trips were sensational, every chance for whale watching was used. I had thousands of questions about research using Photo ID, all of which were answered with full dedication. The insights and the conversations that arose from this were extremely exciting. The accommodation is super nice. Feels like home and the whole team is amazing. I would love to stay longer, I can recommend it.
My son did two days of double dives in the local marine reserve. The operation was friendly and well organised and he saw a good variety of sea life.
We had the absolute best time with Dive Azores!! They were incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and provided top-tier service throughout our whole dive experience. When our original dive operator cancelled, they kindly booked us onto a Princess Alice trip at the last minute and it turned into one of the best dives I’ve ever had, with 30+ mobulas and even a whale shark! Shoutout to our dive guide Agustín! I’ve dived with many centers around the world, and Dive Azores stands out as truly world class. If you’re planning to dive Princess Alice, I couldn’t recommend them more highly!
