Coron Freediving Center

We took the freediver course with Cat and it was an amazing experience. I could not equalise well prior to the course (had problems past 3m) and by the end of the second session, my technique improved and I felt confident enough to get down to 17m in Barracuda Lake. My girlfriend had a few problems with equalisation, but the resident barracuda took a liking to her so I think she has more potential than me... ;) I also had minor barotrauma after the second day, so I highly recommend practicing equalisation a little bit before the course as it was overwhelmingly the limiting factor for us. The theoretical part of the course was at the Paolyn Houseboats which is a truly breathtaking location where we saw Philippine macaques just a few dozen metres from us! In the water, Cat did an amazing job coaching us with specific advice based on our individual strengths and weaknesses. His coaching style is really straight to the point and if you're an athlete you'll feel right at home with him. Overall an unforgettable experience - I'm hooked and looking forward to say hi to some scuba divers... 😂

Had an amazing introduction to free diving session with Cat. He speaks passionately, knowledgeably and practically about free diving to introduce you to the sport and in the water he is an excellent instructor who makes you feel very safe. He was able to individualise the session to help improve our techniques and overcome our personal challenges in a supportive and astute manner. By the end of the 3 hour session we had seen an amazing improvement in our technique and level of comfort. Don’t think twice about booking a session with Cat if you are interested in free diving, would highly recommend!

I did not intend to get an instructor because I just want to do a fun dive at Coron but joining Cat's class was a great decision. I love how attentive he was and how he maximed the few hours I joined him so I can improve. Very professional. He makes me feel safe whenever I dive. I'll look for him when I get back and spend a few more days of training with him. 💯
