I completed my Wave 3 upgrade from L3 with Matt and it was an outstanding experience. The instruction was incredibly detailed and structured, exactly what I needed at this level. Every technique was broken down clearly, and I left each session feeling like I had genuinely improved rather than just checked a requirements box. Matt was a fantastic instructor, flexible, technically sharp, and very competent to dive with. He helped me refine key skills, including teaching me mouthfill, gave precise feedback, and created a safe, focused training environment while still keeping it enjoyable. I had an amazing experience at Cenote Freediving during my Wave 1 beginner freediving course. Matt is an incredibly patient, passionate and supportive instructor, both in and out of the water. He helped me progress at my own pace, offering helpful advice that made each dive more enjoyable than the last, while helping me improve quickly. He also took some fantastic videos, which were useful for correcting my posture and made a great souvenir from the experience. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone interested in freediving!
