Casalay Boutique Villas and Dive

Arrived at Casalay with great expectations, and left with a weary feeling. The location is breathtaking and looks very good when arriving. The hotel is in very green and lush surroundings, which also means you will be close to the wildlife, and especially bugs in the nighttime. So much so that it was impossible to enjoy the nice veranda to the rooms. Pools in the room seems nice, until you realise it is a mosquito breeding ground in these conditions. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but not always very attentive in the restaurant. One of the more annoying things are the added fees whenever possible. No more of the daily juice included in the breakfast left? You will get offered a different one but will have to pay. Want pickup from somewhere equally close (or closer) than the designated pickup points? Yes sure but extra fee. All in all this has the potential to be a great resort, but stumbles on the finishing line. Wifi and AC in the rooms are quite good though! But pack mosquitos repellent

Amazing boutique hotel in Puerto Galera. People are very friendly and helpful. The place is in an outstanding location. Villas are really nice. Everything works well but just the food in the restaurant is a bit short, but fine overall. The best part is the DIVE center. If you are a Diver, this is a must. The team is very professional and the Dive spots are just 10mins away from the hotel. Very comfortable! Verde Island is a must (45mins ride). I would go back to this place definitely.

Wonderful Stay at Casalay Dive Resort We had an incredible experience at Casalay and can’t say enough good things about the staff and the setting. The dive team, Orville and Lowie, were outstanding. They took the time to learn what types of sea creatures we were most interested in and thoughtfully catered our dive sites and briefings to match. Their attention to detail and professionalism made every dive easy, safe, and memorable. Special thanks as well to Rick and King, who took such great care of us on the boat—getting our gear in and out every time so we never had to carry anything heavy. Their help and kindness made each outing effortless. In the restaurant, Michelle and Cathy provided wonderful service and were always accommodating and attentive to our needs. The resort itself is beautiful, with lush jungle surroundings and unique tree house–style cabins built into the hillside. It’s peaceful, scenic, and feels very connected to nature. What truly sets Casalay apart is the people. Everyone is incredibly friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable and happy. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Highly recommend Casalay for anyone looking for great diving, beautiful surroundings, and exceptional hospitality.
