Our family had a great time on the Captain Cook Snorkeling Cruise — it was our first time snorkeling, and the crew was incredibly kind, informative, and patient with us. They really helped us feel safe and confident in the water. We were lucky to see dolphins both on the way there and while snorkeling, which made the trip extra special! The boat was clean and stocked with plenty of snacks and drinks. The only thing to note is that a large portion of the trip is spent traveling to and from the snorkeling spot, so actual water time is a bit limited. But overall, it was a fun, well-run tour and a memorable experience for first-timers!

We did the manta ray snorkeling tour and it was amazing! Although it varies, our group had 7 people which felt like a good size. The captain and deckhand were friendly and helped make our experience comfortable. The manta rays were so cool to see and got unbelievably close! Would definitely recommend!

We went on the Deluxe Captain Cook Tour in September 2025 and had a great time! Captain Jeff was very charismatic and accommodating, and he did a fine job taking us to and from Captain Cook Monument on the boat. He even pulled over on the way back so we could watch a pod of dolphins. His colleague Ryan was extremely helpful, caring, and knowledgeable. My only feedback is that he should raise his voice and project more so that everyone aboard can hear the great information he has to offer! The cruise was about an hour each way, and then we spent another hour in the water snorkeling. It was my first time doing so, and I felt very safe and comfortable the whole time! There are tons of colorful tropical fish to observe in the warm, clear waters of Kealakekua Bay. Good choice if you want to try snorkeling!
