Cambodia Diving Academy

The dive masters are great. Very knowledgeable and like to see divers improve. The boat is spacious and comfortable also well maintained. Lunch and snacks are good on the boat. The dorm is basic but clean and comfortable. Lots of local shops on the street. The mall is a 15 minute drive. I plan to come back again.

My partner and I completed our open water diving course with James and Sin. We had never dived before and were nervous to start. They were patient and took their time making sure we completed every step. Both of them are highly experienced and make sure that you are trained to a high standard. We had the best time in and out of the water. They have great facilities where you can relax, have drinks and play pool and foosball. It felt like a home away from home. Both James and Sin are great company and have a great sense of humour. Always friendly, great community of everybody who works there and we felt part of the family. If you are looking for a place to learn or a place to dive, we would highly recommend to everyone.

We were supposed to stay 3 days, so my boyfriend could do his open water dive course, but we ended up staying for 8 more days, doing our advanced diver and Nitrox certifications. We simply could not leave the place! 🙌🏻 The owner James and his amazing wife opened their loving arms and made us feel a part of their wonderful diving family. The whole place is filled with love for and charming humor. It is easy to feel their love and care for the ocean, and their passion for sharing their knowledge and the important and meaningful work they do for the marine life. Besides that James is an incredibly talented and well qualified dive instructor who, as well as his wonderful wife, Sin, who is the first qualified woman in Cambodia to become a dive master 🪸🐠 We always felt safe and well informed on the dives, but most of all we felt appreciated and ALWAYS happy with James’ bad jokes and Sins contagious laugh (and food) 🥹🤣 The diving sights and the marine life, surrounding the mainland and the close by islands were incredibly beautiful. Colorful coral reefs filled with fish of all kinds, which James and Sin can tell you everything about. Sin was amazing at spotting even the smallest creatures, and was pleasure to dive with. I became a master in emptying my mask, because she made me laugh so many times under water…🤿 😅 We even got to see the coral nursery that James puts his whole heart and passion into maintaining and improving. Not only did they serve really cheap beers, that shouldn’t have been that cheap compared to the view coming with it, but they cooked delicious homemade food, western and Khmer, every dish served with love and smile. The rouftopbar is both visited by turists and locals which gives the place a unique and wholesome atmosphere. 🍻🌅 Luckily we stayed long enough to meet almost everyone in their incredible diving family, and we felt really lucky to spend most of our nights playing gamed, hearing all of their amazing and inspiring stories. Be aware.. Sin is incredibly lucky in poker, and she does not win in silence ♠️♥️♣️♦️ (we loved it) They always went out of their way to fulfill every little need we might have had. It did not matter if it was a ride to the beach or a icecoffee-date. Even on the days with bad weather, where we couldn’t dive, they took us on a daytrip to Prince Island. They must have enjoyed our company 😉😙 We had a really hard time leaving this wonderful place…. I could go on and on about this place. We CANNOT recommend this enough!!!🫶🏼 Definitely the best experience in Cambodia - Love from your Oskar and Karen 🧡
