Just finished my open water course with Calypso and I cannot recommend them enough! Arya is the best teacher and the staff are all very friendly and helpful :) I had never dived before and I felt very safe and well informed throughout the whole course and I cannot wait to dive again in Bali and all over the world now! Thank you!

My mom and I had 2 great dives with Calypso Dive. Liberty Wreck and Drop Off Wall. Our guide was absolutely great, helpful, very nice and most importantly everything went perfectly smoothly and calmly. We have OWD certifications but we are …

What a fantastic muck diving week! I have been diving with Calypso during my stay in Amed. I picked the shop for its "close up muck diving" package, engaged with 4 dives and then kept on extending my stay day after day, doing 2 morning dives and 1 night dive per day. I could not make a better choice: awesome team, amazing long long dives. The Calypso team is amazing, friendly, caring and attentive... great vibes! I knew Amed area was good for macro, but I did not imagine how rich in macro and supermacro the area actually is, particularly in this season, and with the comfort of 30 degree waters! Each dive offered handfuls of subjects to photograph! About nudis: costaciellas, CRC, thecacera, berghia coerulescens, eubranchius mandapemensis to mention a few. Different species of octopuses (long arm, coconut, pygmy), plus harlequin, hairy, skeleton shrimps, bobtail squids, dwarf cuttlefish, ladybugs, you name it! Plus bigfin reef squids, normal size cuttlefish and more! A true feast for a muck diving week and big thanks to my outstanding dive guides and spotters, principal guide Kadek, for his sharp spotting and help to get very good shots and video footage. Cherry on the cake: I was the only muck diver, and this, I had basically a private guide and sometimes also an extra spotter! And if it's not enough: Valentina, the owner, is highly engaged with the local and expat community to promote ocean conservation and sensitization. Among other valuable initiatives, she has set up an NGO. She set up a coral plantation, and also regular classes to educate Amed children on marine life, sustainability and responsible, environmental-friendly behavior. Thanks a trillion to Valentina and her Calypso team! You guys rock and I will be gappy to cone back again!
