Bunaken Cha Cha Nature Resort

This is a really special place, where you feel at home and are well cared for at all times. I was really sad when we had to leave. Our room was amazing, and the staff was super attentive and warm. They seem to know exactly what you need. The food was delicious, with several dishes served at every meal. We had the opportunity to sample a lot of local food plus some international favourites. Reiko and Agnes and all the wonderful staff at Bunaken Cha Cha, you'll be in my heart!

Our 3-day stay here was absolutely incredible! The food, prepared by Agnes, was hands down the best we had in our 3 weeks traveling through Indonesia—every meal was a delight! The owner is not only warm and welcoming but also extremely knowledgeable about diving, making our stay both enjoyable and educational with all the stories she shared with us :) The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the coral reef right outside the accommodation was breathtaking! I can't recommend this place enough. It was truly an unforgettable experience and we're looking forward to visit again :)

Our family of 5 – 2 - 50-somethings and 3 adult children – spent a fabulous week at Cha Cha. We just loved the vibe there. It is upscale, but not fussy; laid-back, but still with high standards of quality; intimate, but not overbearing. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all the players – Reiko (owner), Agnes (manager and chef), Moole (all things boat), Luna (Agnes’s sweet, funny, energetic pup!), and all the support staff. We felt well cared for from the moment we arrived. Our rooms were clean and comfortable with beautiful views especially at sunrise. We are not divers, but love snorkeling. Cha Cha was perfect for us. When not exploring the house reef, we went on 3 different excursions to other amazing reefs, hung out with dolphins, and watched the sunset after a late afternoon snorkeling outing. The food, curated and executed by Agnes, was the icing on the cake. We LOVED trying new (to us) Indonesian specialties as well as other types of cuisines. A true vacation, imo, does not require me to think about where or when the next meal will be. I prefer to spend my time and energy enjoying the incredible environment and sharing it with my family. Cha Cha delivered that by taking care of everything!
