Pino is a great dive master! The dives are lots of fun and the vibe is good. We did 3 days of diving with them. They gave us the best price on the island.
We had a great day diving with Bocas Tec Diving!! We needed a refresher course and talked to all the dive shops in Bocas - we chose Bocas Tec Divers as their refresher sounded the most comprehensive (other shops just offered to send us …
We have booked three tours: -Diving -Bioluminescence - 1 day tour ----prices---- -Diving: Two dives in half a day for 80$ cash with diving license. Water, complete equipment included. -Bioluminescence One 2,5h tour for 25$ in the evening / night. Snorkel and goggles included. -day tour For 40€ without food, 50$ with food a day tour from 10-17 o'clock. ----experiences---- -Diving: We went to San Blas Islands before, there the water was very clear and we saw some corals. When diving, the water was mainly rather murky. You saw a lot of different fish, but the Caribbean experience was missing. We saw one ray during the two dives, but that was the only spectacular thing. The promised wreck was just a metal block in the water. -Bioluminesece: Wow, at the first spot all you see is some glowing algae in the water. At the second spot the hand glitters. At the third spot you are allowed to snorkel and feel like in Avatar. The hands glisten and plankton lights up around you and you can swim through it. -day tour: First we went to look at dolphins. These were nice, even though you only saw two that day. After that we went to see sloths. Here we saw a sloth up close from a distance of 2m. Afterwards we went to the coral reef. The highlight of the tour. In contrast to diving there were different colors, bright fish and a beautiful atmosphere. Lunch was then on a national park island, which was very natural. The food itself was disappointing, we had a mini wrap, some nachos with dip and an eighth of a pineapple. In hindsight we would have taken the food ourselves. The vegetarian meal was forgotten. This we have subsequently refunded. The island itself was very nice, great beach, calm water and you could snorkel and relax. We went hungry again on the boat. With a stop at a small island with starfish (here you were not allowed to snorkel) we went to the last stop. Here the water was unfortunately murky, there were few corals and from jellyfish small threads or something like that swam in, which made the skin itch. Why this spot is on the list, I do not understand. ----Staff---- Pino and his Crew were always friendly and helpful. They explained everything and were open for questions. ----Ratings:---- -Diving: 4/5 stars -Bioluminescence: 5/5 stars -Day Tour: 4/5 stars ----conclusion---- Diving the spots were not really nice. Bioluminescence is really recommendable. The day trip was nice, especially because of the one coral reef.
