You won't find a dive shop that is more communicative and thorough when making an advance booking online. Nor will you find a dive shop where every single person is over-the-top friendly and focused on providing fantastic customer service. Top that off with an outstanding level of professional instruction with a focus on safety and Bocas Pirates should be your choice for diving here! Mey and Margarida handled everything to get me booked for my Advanced Open Water certification course. They were always quick to respond to emails and made sure I had all the documentation forms submitted before I arrived. I visited the shop the day before my course was set to begin and met Alex who was just super friendly and upbeat. I also met Marianna who gave me a tour of the shop and is, I learned, a Dive Master in training. She is beyond delightful! And as it turned out, she accompanied me on several of my training dives. I learned several new things from her and was incredibly impressed with her expertise. If I lived in Bocas I would definitely take her yoga and ukulele classes! (When we were chatting about random things she also asked me a very wise, unique question that I will never forget!) Francesco. There aren't enough superlatives to describe this man. He was the lead instructor for another student and me and was one hundred percent engaged in everything we did. From reviewing coursework and discussing various diving topics to gear setup and in-water procedures, Francesco was truly committed to making us better divers. As an added bonus, he speaks Spanish very distinctly and precisely which allowed me to understand him y mejorar mi español. After finishing the course, I also did a fun two tank dive with Stan. He is a very cool young man from the Netherlands and I learned several new things from him. He was very thorough in his briefings and helped us spot some interesting things in very low visibility water. He also got a great video of me on my camera at a wreck site. Thanks for showing us the jellyfish, Stan! I could go on about the other staff that I met, but you get the picture. They are all fantastic!

Such a great vibe here. Everyone from the shop to the boat is so welcoming & knowledgeable. Went on a dive with Francesco & Anna & had so much fun. The reef was gorgeous, so many colors & cool things to see. Wish I had more time!
