Blue Planet Diving Center

We loved our experience at Blue Planet. They were so helpful from the moment we first emailed with questions. We were so nervous about getting certified and then we met Horty our instructor. Horty was patient, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and extremely positive that we could do it. I wear contact lenses and was very nervous about a few exercises and when I successfully master them at the bottom of the ocean She literally hugged me and we celebrated together. She was my biggest cheerleader which made me feel at ease the whole time. Horty absolutely made this the best experience for us. After 8+ years since my last dive, Horty walked me through all the safety protocols and checks in an effective and enjoyable manner which gave me the confidence to “dive right in” 😉! I did a full, two day dive with the morning dive as my check dive, a break for lunch, then an afternoon dive with a certified group. I was lucky enough to have Horty 1:1 during my check dive. Once we ran through all the safety checks and exercises, we spent the rest of my check dive exploring nearby reefs for the rest of the hour! We took our time and saw so many different sea creatures that other guides said wasn’t as common to see - and it was because Horty went slowly to point out all the different types of ocean life for me! The morning check dive turned out to have the BEST GoPro photos and videos compared to the more adventurous, Little Afrika cave dive! Horty is the best and gave me the confidence to keep up my OWD cert. Also shoutout to Maro and Michele as my afternoon dive instructors! They were great and led a group of 7 of us through an amazing underwater cave and trenches through strong current. Our dive lasted 65 minutes. The current was too rough to take the boat, but it didn’t matter as this was my most adventurous dive to date! While not required to dive here, staying at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace was especially convenient to grab a quick breakfast, head down for the morning dive, take a break for a quick lunch, and then down again for the afternoon dive. I also got to enjoy a sunset soak in the rooftop wellness center jacuzzi afterwards to rest!

Though I can’t swim, it was always my dream to see the sea from under the water, and today, that dream came true with Blue Planet Diving.🌊 My instructor (Michele) was incredibly professional, patient, and made me feel completely comfortable underwater. There was also another diver (Sorry, I forgot to ask his name) who took videos and photos of me. They did an excellent job capturing every special moment.📸 The ladies at the reception were also very friendly and helpful (again sorry, I forgot to ask their names also 😅.) ❤️ Overall, it was a fantastic adventure filled with excitement and great memories. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to try something unforgettable...
