I did my Open Water certificate with blue Magic Scuba. The course was great, we were two participants and Ernesto was a really great diving instructor. He was very considerate of our fears and had a calm manner so that I always felt safe. I stayed at the Blue Magic Scuba Hostel and felt very comfortable there. Everyone was nice and helpful. You can sleep here for four nights if you do the diving course and every day you do two dives. The room with air conditioning costs 50 pesos extra. I felt so comfortable that I stayed two more days to do two dives during the day and one dive after sunset. Thanks to Catalina for the great experience. I would have loved to stay even longer. An absolute recommendation. A great diving centre with great staff, good equipment and high quality.

***This is the best dive shop experience I have ever had! *** We did a week in Cozumel, diving every other day, as we have both younger and older new divers in our group. We booked Blue Magic's chartered boat, so it was …

I did my PADI Open Water qualification at Blue Magic and had the perfect experience - they are professional and accommodating, the office is easy to find and if you dive with them you can stay in their amazing hostel nearby. All equipment was highly maintained, well organised and clean. My instructors Helge and Martin were both fantastic teachers, relaxed and fun but totally focused on safe practices and wellbeing. I learned a great deal and am now addicted to diving because of them. I will be returning to Cozumel and Blue Magic at the earliest opportunity to dive with them again and gain further diving qualifications. One note - it is simpler for everyone if you pay in US Dollars rather than Pesos.
