Blue Lagoon Beach

This was our second trip to this location for a snorkelling trip 7 years apart. A short boat trip out to the first reef and its into the water for a drift snorkelling. The water visibility varies a lot but on a good day you will see a lovely little reef lots of smaller fish while be surrounded by rainforest and a volcano in the background. Dive 2 is the blue lagoon a smaller reef but loads of fish and coral. Down sides, loads of plastic floating in the water and dozens of small boats. Both trips I was hit by boats trying to get back to my own, so be careful.

Most of the reviews are NOT for the filthy dirty beach but for the Bloo Lagoon Resort on top of the hill. Read the title people! BEACH. The walk down to the beach is disgusting as is the Cafe and rent a bed place. Broken down, rubbish strewn. Water full of oil from boats dropping people off for snorkelling. Not worth your time.

Iconic place in Padang Bai, it is really blue bay. Quite steep descent to get on beach on stony stairs. Beach is just 100m long, very romantic and great for snorkelling and scuba diving. Paid recliners are located in stony wall under restaurant area. One big local restaurant, some more construction ongoing
