Black Turtle Dive Koh Tao

Absolutely amazing! We did the open water course and from start to finish Black Turtle was brilliant, they helped with our online learning and was great to be in a small class of 4 people. Me and my girlfriend were with another couple so this made the experience even better. A massive shout out to Rhi our instructor who was there to help not only during the course but outside with any questions we had for her. Very experienced diver and was super easy to learn everything from her. Will definitely be back to do the advanced course!!

If you are looking for a diving school on Koh Tao, look no further. We just completed our PADI Open Water Course here, and it was hands down the highlight of our trip. We started our course in a group of four. Right from the beginning, on the first day in the pool, things got tricky: one of our friends struggled with buoyancy and another unfortunately fell ill. My husband and I continued the course, but what stood out most was how our instructor, James, handled the situation. He continued our training normally as planned and did an individual training with the other 2 after our course. Seeing that level of dedication—making sure nobody gets left behind—was truly impressive and shows how much he cares about his students. For me personally, I was very nervous. I had major issues with equalizing my ears and was honestly terrified of the mask skills (removing the mask underwater). James was wonderful. He was incredibly patient, calm, and never made me feel rushed. He took the time to understand my fears and gave me the exact tips and confidence I needed to overcome them. By the time we reached the 12m dives in the ocean, I felt safe and actually enjoyed every second of it! The boat was great, the equipment felt very safe and well-maintained, and the entire team at the shop creates such a welcoming and fun atmosphere. But it’s the personal touch from instructors like James that makes this place a 5-star experience. We are leaving the island tomorrow, but we’ve already decided that we will be back to do our Advanced Open Water Course with James. We wouldn't want to learn from anyone else! Thank you for the amazing memories and for teaching us to love the ocean. 🤿🐢🌊

We had the best time diving with Koh Tao with the Black Turtle team. They were super helpful and thoughtful from the very first WhatsApp message till the very end of our dive trip. They are super organised and everything is followed by the book with one of the highest safety standards we’ve ever seen. We did 8 fun dives with them over the week including Sail Rock trips. The dive sites were truly out of this world—so beautiful! We dove with Hayley and she was great, super attentive and ensured we had the best time underwater. ✨ On our last dive, we got lucky and spotted a whale shark too, and it was magical! Highly recommend diving with Black Turtle and we would definitely be coming back ☀️🌊♥️
