Big Blue Vanuatu

I did a couple of dives with this shop. The dive guide is genuinely very cool, friendly, and easy to be around. People of Vanuatu are generally speaking warm & friendly so no complaints there. 3 stars for the friendliness of staff (every single of them) However, the briefings were very informal, and the marine life wasn’t as impressive as I expected. Of course, this depends on where you’ve been diving before, but for me it wasn’t something I’d rush to do again. The service overall was okay, but the pickup experience was really disappointing. They told me to be ready at 7:30 a.m., so I skipped breakfast to be punctual. They ended up arriving at 8:15 a.m., and it honestly ruined the day & I had headache for the rest of the day.

I recently was lucky enough over two days to get a couple of double dives and a night dive with Big Blue, who were awesome! I had to make a last-minute change to my Tuesday dive, which they accommodated no problems. The DM - Mark - was brilliant. I was also fortunate to have him as my DM for all my dives, and I couldn't have asked for more. During the dives, he stopped and pointed things out and always kept a close eye on me, which gave me a lot of comfort. Before every dive, we had a very clear pre-dive brief, and nothing was rushed. Once we got in the water, everything was calm and controlled from the time we left the boat to our return. The sites were incredible - Konanda wreck, Twin Bommies, Cathedral - so much marine life to look at and feeling safe at all times. For my first ever night dive, I was a bit nervous, but once we got under the water, it all disappeared and I was blown away by what I saw - definitely something I will never forget! To Mark, Daisy, and the team at Big Blue - thank you so much for an unforgettable experience and for making my diving experience with you so easy and incredible.

Have just finished a fantastic 10 dive package with Big Blue Dive Vanuatu and I have to say as usual the entire staff have been exceptional. This is about my 6th or 7th time diving with Big Blue and every time they don’t disappoint. Kolin our Divemaster and Roy our skipper were fantastic, they took us to some amazing places like the wreck of the Konanda, Twin Bommies, West Side Story, The Cathedral (an underwater coral cave), Pink Panther and Kathleen Reef to name a few. Kolin is very passionate about his diving which shows in his commitment to ensuring every dive is fun but safe and Roy looked after in between dives providing us with coffee, tea, biscuits and fruit. All in all I have no hesitation in recommending Big Blue Dive Vanuatu for all your diving. See you all next time.
